Traded To-Do Lists for Wish Lists

Traded To-Do Lists for Wish Lists – Coaching Business Journey

It’s that time of the month again, when I write out my goals for the next weeks.

I’m so happy that I’ve been able to consistently complete my monthly goals, unlike before, when I used to procrastinate a lot.

Before, I used to have a well-detailed list of things to do, and when I didn’t end up doing them, I felt bad.

It got to a point when I thought, “Why bother since I wouldn’t end up doing them?”
I’m just grateful to God for growth.

Now, instead of writing a long list of “to-dos,” I have sticky notes where I write down 3-5 things that “I wish to do.”

For me, seeing it as a “wish” takes the pressure off. And surprisingly, that has made it easier to complete the tasks and meet my goals.

Although a lot of things are beyond our control as humans, I’ve found that setting goals is really helpful to stay focused on the big picture while being “positively productive.”

I said “positively productive” because it’s very possible to be busy doing the wrong things. Things that don’t really get us any closer to our dreams.

It’s also worth mentioning that it’s important to be realistic when setting goals. It’s just 30 days (even less than that when you consider necessary off hours).

So it’s stressful to plan as if you’re trying to build an equivalent of Rome during that short time..
