Episode 1: Interview With Emma Jupe
Thank you sooo much for being open to this! I’m so excited too 😁😁
To start us off, could you briefly introduce yourself?
What kind of coaching do you do, and what’s the deeper reason that led you into it?

My name is Emma and I have a background in helping different people. I live on the Isle of Wight and offer mindfulness and stress management coaching.
I have lived experience, so I use my story to help others.
I had really bad depression, anxiety, pain including chronic pain, chronic health conditions, lots of losses, and a lot of stress which impacted my mental and physical health.
I took over 4 years to focus on improving my health by having a long break, and now I am able to help others again.
Hope this helps.
Yes, thank you 🙏
That really helps paint a clear picture of what has led you here. It’s really inspiring to see how you’ve turned your own challenges into a drive to support others.
Looking back on your journey so far, what’s something you had to unlearn or overcome as a coach, maybe something that felt difficult at the time, but ultimately helped you grow?

Spantus really helped me to grow and provided support and guidance, which made me feel supported, validated, and built my confidence up.
I have learned about writing valuable and relatable content, how to present my website and business sites.
I’ve learned about promoting my work and gaining interest, engaging with others.
I’ve also learned that I am capable. Not to doubt myself – I can achieve what I set out to do. I am enough. My views matter, I matter.
I’ve used an effective method of breaking tasks up. One task at a time over a timeframe.
I’ve taken breaks, been gentle and kind to myself.
I’ve listened to others.
I’ve taken on board information. I’ve gained valuable insights and knowledge from learning from others. Celebrating “wins” and achievements. Took on board feedback, reviews and suggestions to make performance better.
At the start I was so far behind. Now I am able to say I’ve done this… And that… Things I didn’t think I could do because I lacked confidence. Areas that are new to me like content creation, designing a website layout, blogs.
Growing so much.
As someone who has personally experienced your stress management coaching, I can say without a doubt that you’re more than capable as a coach.
Thank you for sharing those honest steps around your growth 🙏
It’s so encouraging to hear how you’ve embraced new areas and kept growing, it reminds me to stay open on my own path too.
If you could go back, what would you tell your just-getting-started self?

Absolutely, and it’s your own personal journey.
You’re making great progress, learning, evolving and growing.
You also adapt and gain confidence.
Learn more about what’s involved with steps to become a coach, like niches.
Learn about the marketing side, promotion, content.
Learn about costs involved.
Learn about the business side, forms, worksheets, etc.
That’s such a beautiful reflection! It really shows how much you’ve embraced the full journey, not just the coaching side, but the business and growth that comes with it too.
Where can people connect with you or learn more about your work?

At the moment I’m working on my website.
I am also on LinkedIn again for business.
And I write my current personal email on posts (planning on having a business one soon). Will set it up.
Thank you ☺️
Thank you so much for your time! it’s been really valuable hearing your perspective. I wish you all the best in your journey! 🫶🫶
