I used to be very afraid of the dark. After learning more about what Christ has done for me, the fear naturally dropped.
But one thing I learned that stayed with me is: darkness isn’t that scary, and it’s in it that light shines the brightest.
When I lost my only source of income and fully embarked on the entrepreneurship journey in 2019, I started learning a lot about marketing.
Paid for mentorship at some point, and had an idea of how things were supposed to be.
But I couldn’t do much because a lot of the tactics and strategies didn’t feel quite right.
Well, I thought that was laziness on my part, so I continued learning.
I read an interesting book by Seth Godin last year which gave me a completely different view about marketing. Finally, something that felt right… and I believe that I’m finally on a better path with marketing.
I learned that true marketers care. They don’t force you or force themselves on you, and they’re there for you.
Not the spams and fake interactions.
At first, I had the opinion that this path may take a longer time to get “results,” but I realized that only depends on what your definition of “result” is…
Yeah, potential clients may take their time to finally pay for your service (or they might not, who knows?).
But, turns out it doesn’t take that much time to start having very powerful and interesting conversations with them.
Conversations that, in themselves, are priceless.
Conversations that change something in you, too.
So in the midst of the noise, you can show up genuinely, and instead of trying to talk to “everyone,” talk to “someone,” and be present for them.
Show up differently, show up genuinely.
