Who Is Your Offer Really For? – Coaching Business Journey

It took me 5 years to learn that you could be very good at what you do, have the essential marketing assets (website, logo, etc.) to show up professionally, and still end up with no results.

For so long, I knew I was made for more, but I didn’t fully know what that would look like. But I kept experimenting anyway.

I’ve always been passionate about building businesses since childhood; however, I started my career as a website developer, and I sort of just embraced the technical side of me more.

So much that it felt like that was all there was to me.

When I officially started my entrepreneurship journey, I was so clueless, and I needed to do things differently.

I took a bunch of courses over 4 years and followed the common advice: pick a niche, then find the people to pitch to.

Let’s just say I’m grateful to God that I had other sources of income.

I didn’t make much progress in 4 years, and it pushed me to relearn marketing.

This time, I learned that marketing is actually caring about the people you serve.

Caring enough to create the conditions for a change to happen in their world.

This perspective changed how I saw marketing and how I approached it.

Initially, I was thinking so much about me. What skills I had. What seemed to suit me.

But I forgot that business is about the people we serve, and not us.

After shifting my perspective to focus more on my clients and less about me, I started learning about what matters to them, and I realized I had been trying to solve a problem that they didn’t care that much about.

I readjusted, and in 2 months, I started having results I never had for 4 years.

Turns out that when creating an offer or a package, it’s important to create something that solves problems that are RELEVANT to target clients.

Not just problems that are nice to solve, but problems that bother them.

And it’s even better if it’s something they find relevant RIGHT NOW in their own journey.
